Step 2 — Asking your first question
Ask naturally — and under the right law
Write your question in plain language, just as you would ask a colleague. CODEXIS AI answers under Czech law by default; when you need Slovak law, just say so in your prompt.
01Czech law
Czech law is the default jurisdiction
Without any further qualification, CODEXIS AI answers under the Czech legal system. Just write what you need to know — the answer arrives complete with links to specific provisions.
- Natural language. No special query syntax — just ask in a sentence.
- Czech legislation and case law. Answers rest on consolidated Czech sources.
- Citations for every claim. Verify each conclusion in the referenced provision.
The employer is obliged to issue the employee a certificate of employment upon termination of the employment relationship. Details of the average earnings are provided only on request, in a separate certificate.
02Slovak law
The system has Slovak law covered too
CODEXIS AI works with the Slovak legal system as well. When you want an answer under Slovak law, indicate it directly in your question — for example with the words “podľa slovenského práva”.
- Slovak legislation. A dedicated base of Slovak sources, not a translation of Czech ones.
- Citations to Slovak provisions. The link points to the Slovak act as in force in Slovakia.
- Answer in the language of your question. Ask in Slovak and it answers in Slovak.
Základná výmera dovolenky je najmenej štyri týždne; zamestnanec, ktorý do konca kalendárneho roka dovŕši 33 rokov veku, má nárok na päť týždňov.
03Explicit choice of jurisdiction
Set the jurisdiction with a single prompt
You decide which law the answer should follow. Switch the jurisdiction with a short instruction at the start of your question — the system keeps to it for the whole conversation until you change it.
“Under Czech law…”
Forces answers and citations from the Czech base. The default — you need not state it.
“Under Slovak law…”
Switches the context to the Slovak legal system and the language of the answer.
“Compare CZ and SK…”
Requests a side-by-side comparison of both frameworks, again with citations from both bases.
Tip: Put the jurisdiction instruction right at the start of your question. CODEXIS AI remembers your choice for further questions, so you need not repeat it with every query.
