Monitored case law

What it is: Monitored case law tracks new case law on a given topic and prepares a regular AI report on trends and new decisions. The application monitors topics over time — you don't have to regularly go through new court decisions yourself.

Where to find it: In the left-hand menu under Tools → Applications → Monitored case law.

How to add a topic to monitor

Monitoring is set up through the chat — just write in plain language what you want tracked. For example:

„Monitor case law on tax-deductible expenses" • „Monitor decisions on the invalidity of notice of termination" • „Monitor case law on liability for damage"

A newly created topic then appears in the Monitored case law application.

How monitoring works

  1. Topic overview — for each monitored topic you can see the number of reports, the date of the last check, and a „new" label if a fresh report has been added. You can also full-text search the reports and use the New only toggle to show just the fresh results.

  1. Topic detail — once opened, you'll find:
    • Notes — the brief specifying exactly what should be tracked and in what form (can be edited and added via + Add).
    • Reports — a list of individual checks with the date and the number of decisions found. New ones are marked with a New tag.
    • The topic can be removed using the Delete topic button.

  1. Report detail — a specific report contains a brief summary of the findings, an Overview of decisions in a table (date, case reference, court, area, interpretation), and a Breakdown by area with a description of the impact and a practical note. Use the Confirm read button to mark the report as read.

💡 In practice: You don't have to regularly check new case law yourself — CODEXIS AI monitors it for you and notifies you only when a relevant decision appears.
